LASH EXTENSION POLICY
- Appointment Policies
- Booking: All appointments for lash extensions must be booked in advance. A non-refundable deposit of $25 is required at the time of booking to secure your appointment. This deposit will be applied toward your final service charge.
- Cancellation Policy: Clients must cancel or reschedule appointments at least 24 hours prior to the scheduled time. Cancellations made within 24 hours of the appointment will result in the loss of the deposit. No-shows or cancellations made on the same day as the appointment will incur a full-service charge.
- Late Arrivals: Punctuality is crucial. If you arrive more than 15 minutes late, your appointment may be shortened to accommodate the next client. In such cases, the full-service fee will still apply. If lateness exceeds 30 minutes, the appointment may be rescheduled, and a fee may be charged.
- Lash Extension Care
- Pre-Appointment Preparation:
- Clients are advised to arrive with clean, makeup-free eyes and lashes. Avoid using oil-based products around the eyes at least 24 hours before your appointment.
- Post-Appointment Care:
- Avoid getting your lashes wet for the first 24 hours after application to allow the adhesive to fully set.
- Do not use oil-based or waterproof mascara as they can break down the adhesive.
- Avoid rubbing or pulling at your lash extensions, as this can cause premature shedding.
- Gently cleanse your lashes with a lash-safe cleanser to remove dirt and debris and to extend the life of your extensions.
- Refills: Regular refills are recommended every 2-3 weeks to maintain the fullness of your lash extensions. If more than 50% of your lash extensions have shed or if more than 4 weeks have passed since your last appointment, it may be necessary to book a full set.
- Safety and Health
- Patch Test: If you have any known sensitivities or allergies, please inform us before your appointment. A patch test can be conducted at least 24 hours before your scheduled service to check for any adverse reactions.
- Health Conditions: Clients with certain eye conditions, such as blepharitis, conjunctivitis, or other eye infections, should postpone lash extension services until they have fully recovered. It is the client’s responsibility to inform the technician of any eye health issues.
- Children in the Studio: For safety reasons and to maintain a calm environment, children are not permitted in the treatment area during the lash extension service.
- Liability and Waiver
Release and Waiver of Claims:
By signing this agreement, the client acknowledges and voluntarily assumes all risks associated with the application, retention, and removal of lash extensions provided by Jenlash Studio and its technicians. The client understands that lash extensions involve the use of adhesives and other products that may cause allergic reactions, irritation, or other side effects.
Specific Risks Acknowledged:
- Allergic Reactions: The client acknowledges the possibility of allergic reactions to the adhesives, cleansers, or other products used during the lash extension process. A patch test is available upon request to test for allergies, but the client understands that even with a negative patch test, allergic reactions can still occur.
- Natural Lash Damage: The client is aware that improper care, frequent rubbing, pulling, or exposure to oil-based products can result in damage to their natural lashes, including premature shedding, breakage, or thinning.
- Eye Irritation or Injury: The client acknowledges that despite the technician's best efforts, there is a risk of eye irritation, injury, or discomfort during and after the lash extension application.
Comprehensive Waiver:
In consideration for the services provided, the client irrevocably releases and waives all claims, demands, and legal rights against Jenlash Studio, its owners, employees, technicians, and agents. This waiver covers any claims of liability, negligence, breach of warranty, or breach of contract that may arise from the lash extension service. The waiver extends to all known and unknown claims, and is binding upon the client’s heirs, executors, administrators, and personal representatives.
Responsibility for Aftercare: The client further acknowledges that it is their responsibility to follow the aftercare instructions provided by the technician. Failure to do so may result in complications, for which the salon and its technicians are not liable.
5. Indemnity
Indemnification: The client agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Jenlash Studio and its technicians from all claims, damages, or expenses arising from the client’s failure to follow aftercare instructions, any personal actions, or any other violations of the terms of this policy. This indemnification includes covering any legal costs or expenses incurred by Jenlash Studio because of such claims.
Legal Costs and Defense: If Jenlash Studio incurs any legal costs or expenses due to a claim related to the client’s failure to adhere to aftercare instructions or any other terms of this policy, the client agrees to cover these costs. This includes any legal defense costs associated with defending against such claims.
6. Photo and Video Consent (Optional)
- Media Release: The client consents to the use of before-and-after photos or videos taken during the appointment for marketing and promotional purposes by Jenlash Studio. The client’s identity will remain confidential unless explicit permission is granted.
7. Payment and Refund Policy
- Payment: Full payment for services is due at the time of the appointment. We accept Visa, Master,... Failure to provide payment will result in refusal of service and potential legal action if the payment is not subsequently settled.
- Refunds: Due to the customized nature of lash extensions, refunds are not offered. However, if you experience any issues within 48 hours of your appointment, please contact us, and we will make reasonable efforts to address your concerns.
